<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical device, in which a wide shaped glass molded body is used and easily arranged in the center of a mold and the high quality optical device is efficiently and inexpensively manufactured and an apparatus for manufacturing the optical device. <P>SOLUTION: The glass molded body G is moved to a prescribed position to be positioned by supplying a fluid from a mounting surface 13 toward the glass molded body G mounted on a mounting surface 13 on a positioning member 10.
