<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge apparatus which efficiently conducts forming and reading processes of a correction pattern for correcting the deviation of a dot forming position in a main scanning direction, and to provide a pattern reading method and a liquid discharge system. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When the feeding amount of a medium, fed with a feeding mechanism after the correction pattern is formed on the medium with an discharge head, reaches a predetermined amount, a reading means reads each sub-pattern provided on the correction pattern.
