<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current detecting circuit capable of detecting the value of a current intended to be detected, with high accuracy. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The current detecting circuit includes a power supply circuit 12 for supplying current to a lamp 11, and a constant current circuit 13, which is provided between the lamp 11 and the power supply circuit 12 and detects the value of the current being supplied to the lamp 11 from the power supply circuit 12. A constant-current circuit 13 detects the current value not less than a predetermined value by a change in impedance, based on the current value being supplied to the lamp 11 from the power supply circuit 12; and based on the current value detected, the power supply circuit 12 which supplies the current to the lamp 11.
