<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire designed to improve wet performances while maintaining wear resistance in the rubber composition for the tires containing a styrene-acrylonitrile-butadiene terpolymer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rubber composition is obtained by compounding 100 pts.wt. of a rubber component comprising 91-99 wt.% of a diene-based rubber, and 1-9 wt.% of the styrene-acrylonitrile-butadiene terpolymer with 30-120 pts.wt. of at least one selected from among carbon black and silica. The glass transition temperature of the diene-based rubber is -110 to -50°C. The glass transition temperature of the styrene-acrylonitrile-butadiene terpolymer is raised from the glass transition temperature of the diene-based rubber by ≥30°C.
