<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing body capable of contact-fixing its main surface to a thin plate-like solid electrolyte with a flexible member which hardly causes contamination, and effectively absorbing shocks and vibrations during conveyance by the shock-absorbing force of the flexible member. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The packing body for conveying the thin plate-like solid electrolyte comprises a first member brought into contact with one main surface of the solid electrolyte, a second member brought into contact with the other main surface of the solid electrolyte, and a peripheral wall capable of limiting the motion of the solid electrolyte. The first and second members have thicknesses capable of absorbing external forces, and the peripheral wall has a thickness capable of absorbing the external force including the shock force for pressing the outer peripheral ridge. At least one of the first and second members limits the movement of the solid electrolyte by fixing the relative position of the peripheral wall by at least the friction force between its thickness section and the peripheral wall.
