<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological information monitor for automatically switched to provide an appropriate function according to the connection condition to a living body of a connected biological information measuring apparatus. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the biological information monitor, when the pressure change of an air bag inside an arm band in a prescribed range or more is detected (YES in S101) during continuous measurement in a monitor mode which is a measurement mode during a surgery or during intensive care or the like for connecting a detection sensor to one patient for detection for a certain long period of time and continuously (repeatedly) measuring biological information for a fixed period, it is defined that an intentional operation is performed to the arm band, it is determined that a suitable measurement mode is a spot check mode which is a measurement mode for a round visit or outpatient care or the like for switching connection to a plurality of patients and successively measuring the biological information of the respective patients, and the measurement mode is automatically switched from the monitor mode to the spot check mode (S105).
