PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric sensor for improving the detection accuracy for detecting a transparent body. SOLUTION: The photoelectric sensor 1 includes a projector 2 for projecting P polarization; a first light-receiving unit 3 (parallel light receiving element 21) for receiving light via a parallel polarization filter 23 passing through the P polarization; a second light-receiving unit 4 (orthogonal light-receiving element 26) for receiving a light via an orthogonally polarized filter 28 passing S polarization; and a third light-receiving unit 5 (inclination a light-receiving element 31) for receiving a light via an inclined polarizing filter 33, passing the linear polarization of the polarization direction, inclined at 45 degrees for a polarization direction of the P polarization. CPU 41 detects the transparent body W, on the basis of each light-receiving amount of the parallel light-receiving element 21, the orthogonal light-receiving element 26, and the inclination light-receiving element 31.
