PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge confirmation method for mist-like cutting fluid for allowing a worker to determine whether the mist-like cutting fluid is discharged from a distal end of tool or not in a short time. SOLUTION: In this discharge confirmation method for the mist-like cutting fluid, laser beams are emitted from a laser oscillator 31 by using the laser oscillator 31 for emitting laser beams and a light detector 32 for receiving the laser beams emitted from the laser oscillator 31 and generating an electric signal corresponding to amount of received light. The mist-like cutting fluid is discharged from the distal end of the tool T to cross the emitted laser beams, and it is determined whether or not the rate of light shading being ratio of shading the laser beams emitted from the laser oscillator 31 by the mist-like cutting fluid discharged from the distal end of the tool T exceeds the value set in advance, based on the electric signals generated by the light detector 32. When the rate of light shading exceeds the value set in advance, it is determined and confirmed that the mist-like cutting fluid is discharged from the distal end of the tool T.
