<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily create a pair of labels on which two pieces of information forming a pairing relation are respectively printed, without the need of cumbersome processes. <P>SOLUTION: A second character string database 74 stores a first character string and a second character string, which has the paring relation with the first string, so that the character strings are associated with each other. Input means 17, 24, and 61 can input the first character string. A display means 24 displays the other character string, which is stored in a storage means, in accordance with the input first character string. A printing unit 62 prints the input first character string and the displayed second character string.
