<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-forming device for setting places for chapter division desired by users in read original images, and storing electronic documents of originals, where link information is added to the places for chapter division. <P>SOLUTION: The image-forming device can create electronic documents by reading originals having a plurality of pages. In the image-forming device, candidate lines of the places for chapter division are extracted to temporarily mark the images of the candidate lines based on conditions given by users from character strings of line units extracted by performing character recognition to the read original images, the images of pages including the temporarily marked candidate lines are displayed, the candidate lines are decided as the places for chapter division based on users' instructions, the decided places for chapter division are marked to correct the original images, outline data, which include the link information for correlating the character strings extracted from the lines of the places for chapter division with the places for chapter division, are generated, and the electronic documents having the link information are generated from all original images and the outline data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
