<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a double-sided unit fit for a user by combining double-sided conveyance mechanisms forming the double-sided unit in response to user's requirement in an image forming apparatus including a double-sided mode. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises an image forming apparatus body 10, a first double-sided conveyance mechanism 100 provided on the side of the image forming apparatus body 10, and a second double-sided conveyance mechanism 150 provided under the image forming apparatus body 10. Recording paper ejected from the image forming apparatus body 10 passes through a recording paper feed path 101 and a recording paper feed path 102 by a pair of recording paper conveyance rollers R3, passes through a recording paper feed path 151 by a pair of timing rollers R4 of the second double-sided conveyance mechanism 150, and is fed to the image forming apparatus body 10. If length of the recording paper feed path of the double-sided unit is shorter than paper passing length of double-sided recording paper, a fifth double-sided conveyance mechanism 300 is provided between the image forming apparatus body 10 and the first double-sided conveyance mechanism 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
