PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which accelerates processing in variable printing.

SOLUTION: It is determined whether a fixed object overlaps any other fixed object. When it is determined that the fixed object overlaps the other fixed object, either first image forming processing to combine the fixed object and the other fixed object or second image forming processing to process the fixed object or the other fixed object is performed to generate data subjected to image forming processing. The generated data are combined with a variable object to generate and output print data.
