<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a noncontact IC card that is excellent in appearance characteristic such as printing characteristic, with the card thickness being uniform and no distortion on the surface of the card. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes a process for obtaining a laminate as a card base where card component members are laminated and pressed so that a plurality of card-shaped portions are attached on multiple sides, and a process for punching a card shape out of the laminate to obtain a card. In the process in which the laminate is obtained as the card component members are put in and sandwiched between an upper press plate and a lower press plate having a recess capable of accommodating the card component members and are pressed and stuck together, each of the card component members has, in a portion other than the card-shaped portions, one or more through holes which pass through the card component members when the members are laminated. One or more protrusions are provided either inside the recess of the lower press plate or on the upper press plate. The card component members are put in the recess of the lower press plate and are pressed while the through hole in each of the card component members fits over the protrusions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
