<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict the improper use of a belt-like fastener for fastening an article. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A hook 3 is divided into a first member 4 having both a front side wall 8a and a rear side wall 8b, and a second member 5 having a retaining engage piece 16. The first member 4 is formed in a box shape where only a bottom face between both the front and rear side walls 8a and 8b is opened. The second member 5 is formed so that the retaining engage piece 16 protrudes obliquely from a base plate 14 fitted into an opened bottom face 7 of the first member 4, a hook piece 17 protrudes from an end of the base plate 14 at a side closer to the base of the retaining engage piece 16, a stopped hole 9c engaged with the hook piece 17 is formed at the front side wall 8a of the first member 4 at a side closer to the base of the retaining engage piece 16 so that the hole continues below an opening 9a, and the hook piece 17 engaged with the stopped hole 9c forms the lower side of the opening 9a.
