PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of reducing an area of an instruction memory, and capable of reducing the number of registers without needing address calculation. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus 1 has a data memory 13 for storing image data, an RP register 23 for holding a two-dimensional address indicating a position of an RP within a frame of the image data, and an RP control unit 22 for controlling the two-dimensional address held by the RP register 23 based on the width and height of the frame. The image processing apparatus 1 has address calculation units 21a to 21c for each calculating an address in which read object pixel data is stored based on the two-dimensional address, a group of immediate values, and width of the frame when reading the read object pixel data from the data memory 13 based on an instruction code having a field in which a two-dimensional relative position from the RP is designated by two groups of immediate values.
