PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give a transmission opportunity fairly to terminals under CSMA/CA (Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Avoidance) based access control. SOLUTION: A wireless communication equipment performs communication using a packet for the unit of a slot including at least two repeated symbol strings for transmitting the same symbol while switching a plurality of antenna beams of different directions. The wireless communication equipment includes: a receiving section 23 for receiving the packet to obtain a received signal; a carrier detecting section 24 for detecting a carrier from the received signal for each symbol term; a slot time measuring section 25 for measuring a slot length from the received signal; a transmission timer 27 for subtracting a time until packet transmission for the unit of the slot length; a slot determining section 26 for determining whether or not a carrier is detected within the time of the slot length; a controller 28 for stopping the transmission timer for the time of the slot length when a carrier is detected within the time of the slot length; and a transmission section 30 for transmitting the packet in accordance with the transmission timer.
