PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent illness such as a herniated disk by limiting the movement of a body trunk in a supporter for an animal such as a dog, and to prevent daily actions such as a walk from being obstructed even when it is worn. SOLUTION: The supporter for an animal is provided with a body covering part including: a body trunk back surface covering part for covering the back side upper part of the dorsal vertebrae and lumbar vertebrae of the animal; a body part which is extended from the body trunk back surface covering part and cylindrically covers a part between the rear part of the blade bone and the front part of the pelvis; a pair of side parts which form a neck hole for inserting a head part and front leg holes for inserting front legs from the front end of the body trunk back surface covering part and are connected with the front edge of the body part; and a pair of inguinal parts which form a tail hole for a tail and discharge and rear leg holes for inserting rear legs from the rear end of the body trunk back surface covering part and are connected to the rear edge of the body part. A pair of body trunk movement limiting parts which are in a projected shape toward the body side at the back side upper part of ribs and in a recessed shape toward the body side at the back side upper part of the lumbar vertebrae are provided on both sides along the back bone of the body trunk back surface covering part.
