<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting type scaffold 2 excelling in work efficiency regarding a movable scaffold for use in the maintenance work or the like of a building. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The lifting type scaffold 2 includes two masts 4, a first deck 6, a second deck 8, eight motors 10 and eight bars 12. The mast 4 includes a rack 26. The first deck 6 and the second deck 8 are connected by the bars 12. Each deck includes a large number of units 14 and two mast covers 16. The motor 10 is fixed to the mast cover 16. The motor 10 includes a pinion meshed with the rack 26. When the motor 10 is normally rotated, the first deck 6 and the second deck 8 are integrally lifted by a rack-pinion mechanism.
