<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock-absorbing and holding member made of corrugated fiberboard which is simply assembled and disassembled, capable of holding a stored article by itself, suppressing any deformation of a packaging box, and easily holding even merchandise having a curved surface. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the shock-absorbing and holding member made of corrugated fiberboard for a stored article which is assembled by folding one corrugated fiberboard sheet, a rectangular bottom part, surface parts for assembling a hollow pillar part having a triangular cross-section in an upright state so that an apex angle is located on each corner part of four corners of the rectangular bottom part, and connection pieces for connecting pillar parts assembled on the four corners are formed on one corrugated fiberboard sheet. The pillar parts are assembled on the four corners, and the pillar parts are connected to each other by the connection pieces.
