<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hen egg holder stably discharging a hen egg to a next process by minimizing stress applied to the egg when discharging and receiving the egg and holding the egg in a bucket in a stable state of the egg by making a major axis of the egg vertical, even when the egg is a small one, regardless of the size. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This hen egg holder stores the hen egg from the above by making the major axis substantially vertical and discharges the egg downward. In the holder, a substantially reverse truncated cone shaped egg storing space is formed by a plurality of sidewalls. In at least one sidewall of the plurality of sidewalls, a part of a contact part in contact with the egg enters a center side of the storing space, and has elasticity retreating in an outside direction of the storing space of the egg by weight of the egg when storing the egg from the above.
