<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin and a resin molded product imparted with photocatalytic antibacterial activity by means of a biomass derived from natural plants without using a conventionally known photocatalyst such as titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, tin oxide, and ferric oxide. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A waste-based biomass such as palm shell fiber, wood flour, or the like most of which has been disposed or left unused, is investigated. As a result, a cellulose-rich biomass is found to have a photocatalytic antibacterial activity. Such a biomass is dispersed, mixed, kneaded or applied to a resin or a resin molded product to impart photocatalytic antibacterial activity. Ž<P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT Ž
