PURPOSE: A vehicle monitoring device and a monitoring method thereof are provided to enable a user to investigate causes and results of an accident. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle monitoring device comprises a communications unit(30), a storing unit(20) and a control unit(10). The communications unit receives multiple sensed signals from the electronic control unit controlling the vehicle operation. The storing unit stores car data showing the state of vehicle received with the communications means. Multiple sensed signals are input in the control unit. The control unit classifies and records each car data corresponding to the input signal in the storing unit. The control unit renews each car data recorded in the storing unit in regular interval.
