METHOD AND INSTALLATION FOR MANUFACTURING RETARDATION FILM

PURPOSE: A manufacturing method and manufacturing facility of a retardation film are provided to ensure stable optical characteristics even if there is a temperature or humidity change in the place where a film is used. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a retardation film is as follows. A strip-shaped flexible film(86) is formed by enabling dope(81) to continuously flow into a support(82). The dope contains polymer and solvent. The flexible film peels off the support as a polymer film. The polymer film is stretched in the width direction. The solvent evaporates from the polymer film. Steam contacts with the polymer film and the temperature of the polymer film remains in the range of 100~150 °C.
