PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a water-permeable clay block and the water-permeable clay block manufactured thereby are provided to improve water permeability by forming a plurality of pores in the clay block by mixing pellets consisting of sublimate materials. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a water-permeable clay block includes the following steps: kneading and mixing pellets(11) consisting of sublimate materials; forming a molded body by pressurizing the kneaded materials(10) in a molding frame; drying the molded body at 60-100°C; and sintering the dried molded body. The pellets are made with sublimate materials.
