OPTICAL SHUTTER HAVING CHARGED PARTICLE AND DISPLAY APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An optical shutter with a charged particle and a display apparatus using the same are provided to move charged particles in the applied direction of an electric field, thereby transmitting/blocking light. CONSTITUTION: First and second transparent electrodes(103,108) face each other. A reflective wall(105) surrounds a gap between the first transparent electrode and the second transparent electrode to form a shielded space inside. The reflective wall reflects light. Charged particles(110) are arranged in the sealed interior space formed with the first and the second transparent electrodes and the reflective wall.
