PURPOSE: An apparatus for producing a quantum dot and a method thereof are provided to uniformly mix a solution of the bulk by dividing the solution into micro streams during a mixing process of a precursor solution. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for producing a quantum dot comprises the following: more than one pump(10-1,10-2) supplying plural precursor solutions to a flow; a micro mixer(12) dividing each precursor solutions into micro pathways on each input port, combining the micro pathways with other micro pathways; a heating unit(16) forming the quantum dot while the mixed solution is passing through by the growth of the nucleus; a mixer heater; and a buffer installed in between the mixer heater and the heating unit.
