METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING CHEMICAL FEEDING IN COOLING WATER SYSTEM

A cooling water (a circulation return water), of which the temperature has been raised with a refrigerator (12), is sprayed from a water spray apparatus (2) in a cooling tower (1) and is collected in a lower water tank (4). The cooling water within the lower water tank (4) is circulated through a circulation pump (10), a circulation forward pipe (11) and a circulation return pipe (13) into the refrigerator (12). A fresh water in an amount corresponding to evaporation amount and splash scattering amount (W) in the cooling tower (1) and a blow water amount (B) from a blow valve (8) in a blow line (7) is supplemented through a make-up water pipe line (9). The load of the cooling tower is determined from a difference in temperature between the circulation forward water and the circulation return water, and the amount of the chemical fed by a chemical feed device (14) is regulated based on the load of the cooling tower.
