PURPOSE: An apparatus for depositing and dispensing a coin and an automated teller machine including the apparatus are provided, which can reduce the total volume by making the apparatus and teller machine compact. CONSTITUTION: A temporary storage unit receives normal coins which are classified into kinds and stores them provisionally. In case depositing transaction is executed, a coin storage unit(20) receives coin saved in the temporary storage unit in a fall type and stores coins in each storage according to classification. A coin withdrawal unit(30) receives coins from the coin storage in a fall type in case coin more than the predetermined amount is saved in the coin storage.
