PURPOSE: Provided is a roll transferring apparatus of a rolling mill, wherein a clutch does not need to be frequently cleaned by increasing the time to a limit point when operation is impossible due to the accumulation of scales or dusts. CONSTITUTION: A roll transferring apparatus of a rolling mill comprises a roll shaft support member, lead screws(6,7), a motor, and a gear clutch(10). The roll shaft support member supports the roll shaft of both rolls installed at a roll stand. The lead screws are formed on the both sides of the roll shaft support member, respectively. The corner is connected to the lead screw of one shaft support member. The gear clutch interlinks the both lead screws.
