INSULATION OF EXTINGUISHING GRID OF MOLDED CASE CIRCUIT BREAKER

PURPOSE: An extinguishing grid of a molded case circuit breaker is provided to improve the reliability about barrier performance by preventing the arc reignition phenomenon. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of metal plates(5) have a laminated structure. A wing part(8) is formed in one end of the metal plate in order to improve driving power which induces an arc to an extinguishing grid. A bottom of the wing part is closely installed in the fixed contact point(1). A separate insulating part(10) is formed between the bottom and the fixed contact point of the wing part. By using the insulating part, the fixed contact point and the bottom part of the wing part near the fixed contact point are insulated each other. An arc reignition is prevented by insulating the wing part. An insulating plate(11) is perpendicularly installed from the fixed contact point.
