PURPOSE: A method for connecting to a wireless LAN AP(Access Point) and a device using the same are provided to broadcast prob request signal according to the existence of appointed AP in close range, thereby reducing the power consumption caused by AP scan and AP connection. CONSTITUTION: A controller determines matching of MAC access of user designated AP list ad MAC address of a probe response signal(530). The controller calculates a distance between APs of the user designated AP list and present location of a mobile terminal(550). If user designated AP exist in close range from the present location, the controller broadcasts probe request signal(560,570). An AP transmits a probe response signal. The controller performs the access to the AP. |
