The appliance (1) has fixed contact studs (13, 14) electrically connected to two connecting terminals (21, 22), and a fixed clevis (12) electrically connected to a third connecting terminal (20). A conducting brush (15) is formed at a starting position of a folded and cut metal strip, and comprises a central body (26) articulated with the fixed clevis. Two arms (40A, 40B) are projected on surfaces (27, 28) of the central body. An operating unit cooperates with the central body for pushing the conducting brush towards a stable position.
