The process involves creating a three-dimensional object page, and selecting folds among a set of predetermined folds, where the selected folds correspond to folds produced on a product e.g. newspaper, to be simulated. The object page is modified by the addition of a fold line at a given position on the object page. The simulated product starting from the object page is constructed, and the simulated product is displayed on a display device, where the modification of the object page depends on an order of the selected fold within the sequence of folds. An independent claim is also included for a device for simulating a product printed by a press, comprising a press console.
