PURPOSE: A camera lens assembly and an auto focusing method thereof are provided to minimize a jig and equipment for adjusting a focus, thereby saving manufacturing costs. CONSTITUTION: A lens assembly(101) comprises one or more lenses. A guide unit(103) guides the movement of the lens assembly toward an optical axis. A camera device(121) is installed on a bottom cover. An encoder(104) moves the lens toward the optical axis. A controller generates an electric signal for driving the encoder.
