<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve the deterioration in image quality due to defective pixels than in the conventional manner. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device has a display part in which pixels are arranged in a matrix form, and a drive part which drives the pixels arranged in the display part in accordance with image data, so as to display a desired image on the display part. The drive part has a luminance-adjusting part which partially adjusts the luminance of the defective pixel, having a low luminance region or a light non-emitting region. By setting integral luminance on the area of the defective pixels or the integrated luminance on the area of the defective pixels and the time by the luminance-adjusting part, the low emitted light luminance region or the light non-emitting region is made less apt to be viewed, in comparison with the case, where the luminance of the defective pixel is not adjusted by the luminance-adjusting part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
