<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article information acquisition apparatus in a simple configuration, which easily acquires detail information on an object to be detected, and a method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The article information acquisition apparatus is provided with a control part 3 for detecting whether or not the object 10 to be detected is present between a transmission coil 1 and a reception coil 2. The object 10 to be detected has one or a plurality of shielding parts 11a-11n disposed according to a preset pattern. The control part 3 is provided with a pattern definition part 8 wherein the arrangement pattern of the shielding parts 11a-11n and information thereof are associated with each other. A arrangement pattern detection part 7 detects the arrangement pattern of the shielding parts on the basis of the position of the reception coil 2 shielded by the shielding parts 11a-11n. The arrangement pattern of the shielding parts 11a-11n detected by the arrangement pattern detection part 7 and the information defined by the pattern definition part 8 are associated with each other, and the information on the object 10 to be detected is acquired. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
