<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle state display capable of improving the accuracy of enabling understanding of display contents without looking at a display means, when an operating means is operated and the operation result is displayed in the display means during driving. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The vehicle state display system displays various information on a column display 14 installed at an in-vehicle driver's seat so as to notify a driver of a vehicle state at each time. A column display computer is provided, which displays a display element 17 corresponding to the operation in a display form accompanied with visual changes wherein the display changes in a step-by-step manner, when various operating switches such as a lever combination switch and a cruise control switch operated for actuating on-vehicle instrument are operated.
