<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle start auxiliary device capable of keeping or releasing its action in the case of abnormal CAN communication. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The vehicle start auxiliary device includes a start auxiliary ECU 1 for the start auxiliary controlling, and an EBS (Electric Breaking System)-ECU 2 which is capable of executing the CAN communication with the start auxiliary ECU 1, controlling a brake by the electronic control, and performing the control to release the start auxiliary operation based on the signal from a brake pedal opening sensor 6 when the CAN communication with the start auxiliary ECU 1 is impossible.
