<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a versatile holding member for packaging which is easy to hold even an object to be packaged including a curved shape or having movable portions therein, while exhibiting general versatility. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The holding member for packaging is formed by blanking a sheet-like member with crease lines and folding the member at these crease lines, and used for packaging package objects to be packaged in a packaging box. The one piece of sheet-like member has: a polygonal-shape bottom part; side parts provided in continuation via the crease lines to the respective outer sides of the polygonal-shape bottom part; and connection sections connected via the crease lines between the mutually adjacent side parts at the respective corner portions of the polygonal-shape bottom part. The connection sections have crease lines formed thereon, and when they are assembled, protrusive surfaces of an inclined state formed by folding the portions thereof at the folding lines allow the objects to be packaged stored in the packaging box to be pushed down for holding.
