<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a supported catalyst in which the kind of a catalyst component to be supported is not limited, which has excellent catalytic activity, from which the supported catalyst component is restrained from being dissociated in use and which is separated/recovered easily from a reaction product after used. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the supported catalyst having a particulate carrier consisting of a resin and the catalyst component to be supported on the surface of the carrier includes: a dispersion step of dispersing the catalyst component in an aqueous medium; a mixing step of mixing the catalyst component-dispersed aqueous medium with a water-soluble initial condensate of the resin constituting the carrier; and a polymerization step of further polymerizing the water-soluble initial condensate to obtain the particulate non-water-soluble condensate.
