PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a mounting position of a lifting cylinder constant even if the length of vehicle width of a cargo vehicle varies, to facilitate positioning of the lifting cylinder relative to a cross member, and to substantially enhance assembling work of the lifting cylinder. SOLUTION: In the load receiving base lifting device for the cargo vehicle, the load receiving base 1 can be lifted/driven along a pair of lifting struts 2 by expansion/contraction operation of the lifting cylinder CY provided in the cross member 24 fixed between the pair of lifting struts 2. A first reference mounting position P1 is previously set on an end portion of the cross member 24 left from one end of the cross member 24 by a constant distance, and the lifting cylinder CY is mounted at the first reference mounting position P1.
