SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING COMMAND SIGNALS FROM A CAPTURED IMAGE

A system that uses a captured image to provide command signals to an application based upon markers in the image. A group of markers form a shape and the shape indicates movements. Each shape can indicate up to six degrees of movement. The invention provides more than six degrees of freedom by having more than one group of markers wherein each group of markers represents a different shape that may be used for movement calculations.
