<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic material with excellent design or a cosmetic product with the cosmetic material stored in a container by decorating the cosmetic material or the cosmetic product with the cosmetic material stored in the container with illumination of light. <P>SOLUTION: A method of decorating a cosmetic material component or the cosmetic product includes illuminating the cosmetic material component, in which a transparent or translucent cosmetic material and a composition made of the transparent or translucent cosmetic material and/or a substance made from a solid substance or gaseous substance are separately present, with light or illuminating the cosmetic component of the cosmetic product storing the cosmetic component with light, so that the cosmetic material component shines.
