<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a surface light source device, wherein the luminance is fully uniformized in the whole display surface even if intervals of linear light sources are narrowed toward the periphery so that light sufficiently reaches as far as the periphery. <P>SOLUTION: A luminance uniformizing sheet includes a translucent base material and a white ink part which is installed in a pattern in the translucent base material, wherein the transmissivity has a minimum value in a position substantially immediately above respective linear light sources and a maximum value in a position substantially intermediately above the adjacent respective linear light sources. The surface light source device is characterized in that a difference A between the minimum value of the transmissivity and the maximum value adjacent to the minimum value has the maximum roughly in the center when approximated to a quadratic function by the method of least squares and that, where A is the difference between the minimum value of the transmissivity and the maximum value adjacent to the minimum value, and where B is the difference between the maximum value in a luminance distribution with no luminance adjustment sheet arranged and the minimum value adjacent to the maximum value, the ratio A/B has the maximum roughly in the center when approximated to a quadratic function by the method of least squares. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
