<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting fixture for accurately detecting existence of a detected object without affecting constraint on a structure and appearance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The lighting fixture includes a fixture body 1 in a long box shape with a surface open, a socket arranged at an end part in a long side direction inside the fixture body 1 and with a straight-tube discharge lamp La mounted in free detachment, a sensor part 2 having a wave carrying part carrying an electromagnetic wave of a desired frequency and a wave receiving part receiving a reflection wave with the electromagnetic wave carried from the wave carrying part reflected at an object, and outputting a detection signal by detecting an existence of a moving body based on a difference between frequencies of the wave carrying and receiving parts, and a control part 3 controlling lighting power for supplying to the discharge lamp La through the socket in accordance with the detection signal from the sensor part 2. The sensor part 2 is fitted at an opposite side from the opening of the fixture body 1 by the discharge lamp La, and a shield part 4 for blocking an electromagnetic wave headed toward the discharge lamp La among them carried from the sensor part 2 is fitted between the sensor part 2 and the discharge lamp La.
