摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detection device for an air flow meter with excellent detection accuracy, correcting an intake air amount and an abnormality determination threshold and acquiring a proper abnormality determination threshold without influence of an external environment or an opening state of an intake control valve to exert excellent abnormality detection accuracy. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The abnormality detection device for an air flow meter includes a correction means of an ECU correcting an intake air amount, and an abnormality determination means. When the abnormality determination means determines presence/absence of an air flow meter, based on the determination whether or not a corrected intake air amount exceeds a range of the abnormality determination threshold when an engine meets an abnormality detection condition. The abnormality detection device for an air flow meter further includes a means for correcting a threshold of the ECU correcting the abnormality determination threshold. A correction means of the ECU corrects Q based on an expression: Q<SB>1</SB>=Q×Kp×Kf, wherein the intake air amount is Q, a pressure correction coefficient is Kp, a temperature correction coefficient is Kf, and a corrected intake air amount is Q<SB>1</SB>. The threshold correction means corrects the abnormality determination threshold based on a one-dimensional map of a temperature correction coefficient after supercharging.
