<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system of reducing image sticking, especially, to provide a method and system of reducing the image sticking generated from a liquid crystal display (LCD). Ž<P>SOLUTION: To reduce the image sticking, a first number of frames outputted from the multimedia signal source are successively received. The first number of frames are processed to obtain a plurality of corresponding gray-level characteristic. A predefined frame is inserted into a plurality of incoming frames with a specified ratio if the plurality of gray-level characteristics meet a specified predefined condition.
