<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid cable, capable of suppressing movement of insulating oil associated with thermal history of an insulating layer in operation of the cable to stabilize the insulating characteristic by thickening the insulating oil in the insulating layer, and to provide a connection part thereof. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The solid cable includes the insulating layer 30 impregnated with insulating oil, at least a part of the insulating layer 30 being constituted by winding a composite paper having an insulating paper and a plastic layer. The insulating paper is made through pulp production step and insulating paper making step, and in at least one of the pulp production step and the insulating paper making step, acid washing and neutralization treatment are performed.
