<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound playback device and a sound playback system displaying accurate playback time while preventing sound skip. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The sound playback system 1 includes a transmitter 10 and a sound playback device 20. The sound playback device 20 obtains a data amount per unit time from an accumulation value of a partial music data transmitted from the transmitter 10, and playback time length indicated by a musical piece length data. When the partial music data is received from the transmitter 10 after that, the sound playback device 20 calculates current playback time from the received data amount and the data amount per unit time, and displays it.
