<p>Disclosed is a method for producing an oligomer or a monomer with high efficiency by degrading a biodegradable resin with an enzyme, and collecting the oligomer and/or the monomer. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing an oligomer and/or a monomer by degrading a biodegradable resin in a degradation solution comprising a biologically degrading enzyme, a buffering agent, an organic solvent and water, wherein the organic solvent has an SP value of less than 8.5 or more than 11.5 and is contained in the degradation solution at a ratio of more than 1% and less than 15% (by volume). In the method for producing an oligomer or a monomer, the rate of degradation of the biodegradable resin is high, little aggregated precipitates of the oligomer and/or the monomer are produced, and the collection rate is also high.</p> |
